Shanghai halted interstate bus service and curtailed in-person instruction, while Changchun, an industrial hub in the northeast of the country that in 2020 produced 11% of all cars produced in China, was kept secure.

There are several reasons that reassert why China is still struggling with Coronavirus cases

1: The COVID-19 vaccine, in contrast to other vaccinations, only offers protection from life-threatening illness. Even those who have had a vaccination might get sick, show no symptoms, and spread the infection.

2: Second, the COVID-19 vaccinations' protection soon wears off. Only in December 2020 did vaccinations start, and we only have data on their effectiveness going back, at most, a year. According to research that was published in The New England Journal of Medicine on February 16, 2022, protection in individuals who received the Pfizer mRNA vaccine began to decline after six months. Immunity began to decline in those who had been infected and given the vaccine after a year.

3: Third, adults, who have weaker immune responses than children, have never before received a vaccination. Additionally, the illness is still being transferred by the younger generation.

4: Fourth, many people throughout the world are still unvaccinated, which is causing new variations to appear. The virus may also be under evolutionary pressure from the vaccination, which might result in the emergence of new strains.

This is thought to be the cause of recent increases in vaccine-producing nations.
