The culture, traditions, people, and, of course, cuisines of India are everything. Indian food, a mash-up of cultures, is well known around the world and has a sizable fan base. Many groups in India view their identity as being tied to their cuisine.

We also have a wide variety of strange cuisines; during a trip to India, expect to encounter several exotic delicacies, such as red ant chutney and baby shark curry. Here is a list of some of India's strangest cuisine.

1: Sikkim's Frog Legs

Frog legs are the most unusual food available to Sikkimese people. The Lepcha people of Sikkim make this cuisine, and they think that frog legs have therapeutic benefits that can treat a number of stomach-related illnesses.  

2: Goa’s Baby Shark Curry  

The greatest seafood in Goa is simply baby shark curry, so when you order, don't be surprised to see it on the menu. This iconic Goan meal is made with a variety of sauces.

3: Assam's Silkworm's Pupa

An unusual Assamese dish made from silkworm pupa is presented here. After extracting the silk from the silkworm's cocoon, the worm is cooked with regional spices. This colorful meal features brilliant colors and is melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

4: Odisha's fried snails

Have you ever had fried snails? If not, then Odisha is the place for you. The state is home to a sizable tribal community that consumes natural foods and is known for its love of fried snails.

5: Red ant chutney, or Chaprah, from Chattisgarh

The tribal people of Chhattisgarh love to eat this meal. Chaprah, or red ant chutney, is made using regional spices, dried red ants, and their eggs. It gives food flavor.

6: Nagaland's dog meat

Well, believe it or not, Naga people enjoy eating dog flesh. The indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland are known for their delectable cuisine, which includes several dishes made using dog meat.
